post-stupidity

so i'm sitting at home with cramps from a post-LEEP mini-surgery laser show; hoping all the stupid evil cells are gone. it hurt and it's still hurting. plus i feel all confused and wierd and mentally drained.
apparently my squeaky cells were too evil to freeze, so they had to be zapped! like han solo on a stormtropper!
anyway,
"These treatments are almost always effective in destroying pre-cancers and preventing them from developing into true cancers."
goodie gumdrops. we'll see.

anywho like ive told people, i've made peace with it and i don't care anymore. whatever happens, happens.
\
so i said i'm home, and well, i'm bored. so i've been polyvoring like a madwoman. and now i'm hungry so i guess i'll eat.

what a dull post.

true blood

so the little book i found in 2001 and started reading ("Dead until Dark" by Charlaine Harris) started as a series on HBO earlier this month. i remember i used to talk about them to people and no one knew what they were all about...even gricel, niece and literature guru extraordinaire, mocked me for my infatuation with this series! haha

anywho, i still haven't even seen the episodes (damn you, basic cable!)
i just hope they do some justice to the books. i already heard that they are a bit more exaggerated than they should be (especially different character development and extra added sex scenes), but its very cool to see how someone else visualized these little books.

we'll see!

*ooh- look what i did with the tv promo wallpaper and some vector brushes (although i still like the original book covers, this one's pretty hot)!

the tuesday rant.

stupid stupid stupids. im so exhausted, mentally.
yes, its always a "rant"

there are too many variables out of place at the moment and its driving me insane.
too much negativity
too much worry
too much insecurity
too many fears
no reassurance
no plans, much less future plans
no safety net

how the hell do people make it out there?
and
why do i have to have all this nonsense around me at all times. why can't things just be a little
simpler?

amazing Radiohead...

In Radiohead's new video for "House of Cards", no cameras or lights were used. Instead, 3D plotting technologies collected information about the shapes and relative distances of objects. The video was created entirely with visualizations of that data.

Directed by James Frost
From the album IN RAINBOWS

AHA! i found DETAILS!
"Radiohead Music Video: House of Cards
Zoo Productions
Is it possible to shoot a music video without a camera? Radiohead did. For the first time in history a video was shot with a laser – and it was done at the G-Star Studios in West Palm Beach, Florida. Long known as one of the most technologically advanced bands in the world, Radiohead has always been on the cutting edge of new world visions. Named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the greatest rock bands on the planet, the English alternative rock band from Oxfordshire performed the song Deck of Cards from their seventh album In Rainbows at the G-Star Studios under closed set conditions and super secret security. The famous band, with over 23 million records sold, shared the spotlight with the world’s only high definition laser mechanism, the HDL64E developed by Velodyne in San Francisco, used here for the very first time. It is not a camera. Essentially, it is 64 lasers mounted on a revolving turret that spins at various speeds up to 900 revolutions per second. It gives a 360 degree 3-D view of the entire area out 150 meters. The data is fed into a computer where the “camera lens” or “view point” is flown around to any point of reference that the laser has marked, including direct overhead shots. A second laser scans for direct facial close-ups. The resulting visual product is unlike anything ever filmed before. The “Director of Photography” was Velodyne Field Applications Engineer, Rick Yoder, who helped create the original technology that was invented by Velodyne founder, David Hall. “This technology is stunning,” says G-Star Studios head Greg Hauptner. “Whether it takes hold like the ‘talkies’ in the Jazz Singer or will go the way of 70 mm film, one thing is certain: this new laser system will revolutionize filmmaking in one form or another.”
